John, I know I’m the best candidate in this race. I’m a former Member of Congress, US Navy veteran, and education activist. Let me break it down:

I am committed to public service. And that starts with my family – I am the son and grandson of veterans. I proudly followed in their footsteps and joined the US Navy after high school.

I know the value of hard work . I was raised in a middle-class family. My mom was a public school cafeteria worker. Those values have always driven me to do the best I can for my family, and my country.

I have always fought for progressive policies . As a Member of Congress, I stood up to Trump’s hateful policies, fought for reproductive rights, and championed gun safety. Later, I served as an Under Secretary of Defense for President Biden where I fought for expanded healthcare and abortion rights for our servicemembers.

Now, I’m working to get back to Congress. In a MAGA majority, we need strong Democrats to stand up for Americans more than ever. And I’m ready for that fight.
