Friends,

In times like these, it’s important that we remain vigilant and take care of one another.

Since we last emailed you, our team has continued to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic in our district, and we wanted to send you some updates.

Earlier this week, Governor Northam announced a shelter in place warning for the Commonwealth of Virginia. All Virginians are directed to stay at home except for allowable travel including going to the doctor, going to work, caring for family, obtaining groceries and prescriptions, and engaging in outdoor activity with strict social distancing requirements.

We’ve continued to compile more resources on how you and your family can navigate COVID-19. We’ve listed some new resources, along with other resources we’ve shared before, here:

The Virginia Department of Education has a number of documents with information about school closures, as well as a handbook to help parents navigate learning at home.
