Hello John,
We are haunted by the white supremacist attacks we’ve seen these past two weeks on American soil. 22 dead and 26 injured at a Walmart in El Paso, TX at the hands of a suspected shooter who told police he was targeting Mexicans. 3 dead and 12 injured at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in California at the hands of a shooter who used slurs against mixed-race people in his final Instagram post. In the words of Shahid Buttar, “There are many ways this ongoing wanton violence could have been prevented. Impeaching our criminal president would be entirely appropriate for his *choice* to stoke racial violence that has left too many Americans dead.”
Thankfully, Democrats in the House have now finally moved to begin formal impeachment proceedings, despite protests from Nancy Pelosi. We’re glad to see the rest of the Democratic Party is on board to hold our criminal president accountable.
Our country is at a pivotal time where millions of people are responding with action. We are building a campaign where folks just like you are organizing in the streets, workplaces, homes, and community groups to change their world. On Wednesday we’ll be coming together in solidarity with Never Again Is Now, If Not Now Bay Area and our immigrant family and friends to call out the evil of the concentration camps along our southern border. On Saturday we’ll have a table set up at Noe Valley Farmer’s Market for some impactful crowd-canvassing. And on Sunday we’ll be gathering for a massive Medicare for All People's Assembly with National Nurses United, Jobs with Justice, Our Revolution, Progressive Democrats of America, the California Nurses Association, Democratic Socialists of America and the San Francisco Berniecrats!
