Crenshaw discusses Biden's Detrimental Energy Policies with Texas Public Policy Foundation
This week, I joined David Bahnsen, The Bahnsen Group; Jason Isaac, Texas Public Policy Foundation; and Daniel Cameron, 1792 Exchange, for a discussion on how the Biden Administration is demonizing hydrocarbons and discriminating again fossil fuels through their policies. Chuck Devore of the Texas Public Policy Foundation moderated the panel. Topics discussed included the use of environment, social and governance policies to harm the oil and gas industry. We also discussed the regulatory environment that discourages investment and hampers domestic energy production.
Kingwood Leaders Roundtable
I had the opportunity earlier this week to sit down with community leaders across Kingwood to provide an update on Congress, and other issues important to the area.
I enjoy having these opportunities to hear from people in the community and listening to their needs and how my role in Congress may assist in pushing conservative practices that support our District.
Crenshaw Pushes Back Against EPA’s Overreach with its RMP Rule
This week, I filed a Congressional Review Act Joint Resolution to roll back the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) latest Risk Management Program Rule, which requires burdensome reporting requirements on facilities working with and housing hazardous substances.
Yet again, EPA is creating a costly “solution” for a problem that doesn’t exist. This is the first step toward their ultimate goal of eliminating the use hydrofluoric acid, which is used to make everything from gasoline to pesticides, and even pharmaceuticals.
This new rule will also hurt our economy by increasing costs on everything we use to sustain our lives, including food and energy, by imposing expensive and unnecessary mandates on facilities critical to our economy.
Crenshaw Introduces Enhancing Intelligence Collection on Foreign Drug Traffickers Act of 2024
As a member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, I know how important it is to provide our intelligence community the tools they need to combat foreign adversaries. That is why I introduced a bill to add drug cartels and drug traffickers to the list of targets allowed under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.
Crenshaw Introduces Bipartisan Legislation to Advance Personalized Medicine
I also introduced bipartisan legislation to better address drug-gene interactions to ensure that all Americans have access to treatment informed by their specific needs.
More personalized care means better health outcomes for patients. This bill will ensure drugs are tailored to each person’s unique needs, it will save on health care costs, and improve lives.
Constituent Spotlight
Kristine Marlow
We are featuring Kristine Marlow in our first constituent spotlight. She is an eight-year Air Force veteran, wife, mother, President and CEO of the Montgomery County Food Bank, and active participant in the greater Montgomery community.
After graduating from the United States Air Force Academy, Kristine found her calling to serve her local community and began volunteering at the Sheppard and Elgin Air Force base chapels and other community organizations while she was on active duty.
Kristine and her husband, Garth, raised their four children in The Woodlands. In 2013, she was awarded Volunteer of the Year for the Woodlands Township for her dedication as a Parks and Recreation volunteer and her work with The Woodlands Waves swim team. She worked as the Children’s Sacrament and Formation Manager at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church for nine years, serving their children's ministry, volunteer program, and food pantry. During her time with the parish, she also assisted areas devastated by Hurricane Harvey in 2017 by allocating donations of food, clothing, and other household items.
Kristine began serving as President and CEO of Montgomery County Food Bank in 2020, an organization that has been serving the North Houston community since 1985. In 2023, the Food Bank served over eight million meals feeding an average of 80,000 Texans each month, and partners with 80+ agencies and organizations to better serve those who struggle with food insecurity in the area.
We applaud Kristine for her dedication to our country and tight knit community. Her contributions and heart for service have positively changed the lives of countless individuals.
