Friends,

I wanted to share with you an update on recent work.

On Sunday, I was honored to spend the day with local Vietnam veterans at the closing ceremony of The Wall That Heals in El Cajon. The brave men and women who fought in this war exemplify service and sacrifice on behalf of a grateful nation.

I also met with energy providers this week to discuss how we can increase supply to Californians at rates they can afford. Currently, Californians are paying nearly 30% more than the national average on energy bills. This isn’t beyond us to find solutions and provide cost relief.

Furthermore, I led an effort urging the State Department to oppose the nomination of Pierre Krahenbuhl to be Director General of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Mr. Krahenbuhl’s disastrous tenure with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) makes him unfit for the job, and his nomination must be reversed. Read more here.

Finally, I discussed the hypocrisy and corruption of Hunter Biden who used his family name to sell access to China and peddle influence with his father and now seeks to evade accountability using the same name. Watch my remarks here.

As always, it is an honor to serve as your representative in Congress. For more information, please visit my website at www.issa.house.gov.

Respectfully,
