THE LAST WORD W/ WHEN WE ALL VOTE
Hi John!
March isn’t just about the arrival of spring 🌸 — it's also a time to celebrate Women's History Month and honor the incredible contributions of women throughout history. If you’ve been following When We All Vote on Instagram (if you’re not, click this link [[link removed]] to follow us 😉), you’ve seen us highlight a diverse group of women who have left an unforgettable impact on our country. But to me, one woman stands out from the rest — Shirley Chisholm.
At a time when women were told no, her only words were “unbought or unbossed.”
Recently, her story has been brought to life on Netflix [[link removed]], reigniting conversations about the power of women in our democracy. Her groundbreaking presidential campaign challenged the status quo and paved the way for future generations of women to fight for what they believe in. This movie is not a biography — it's a reminder of one woman's fight for equality and systematic change. Seeing Mrs. Chisholm's story on screen encourages people of all backgrounds to aspire to leadership roles and actively participate in our democratic system. Representation matters because when all of our voices are heard and included, our democracy gets stronger. Now, let’s take a look at some of the things that have brought me joy throughout March:
✅ My 40-day social media fast 📵
✅ The amazing women who are When We All Vote Co-Chairs [[link removed]] — and some of the best in the business
✅ The eye-opening conversation I had with 1k Women Strong [[link removed]] 💪🏾
