American Muslims are courageously responding to COVID-19.

We’re finding and amplifying their stories.
Anyone we should feature?
Dear Friend,
I’ll be honest: it took me two weeks before I found the emotional strength to check in on some of my friends. It’s not that I didn’t have them on my heart, I just felt too overwhelmed to act. This global health pandemic is impacting the people I love on so many levels. It’s scary and exhausting.
And yet … every day, I discover another story about American Muslims who have found the courage to act: healthcare workers treating patients, children serving elders, neighbors helping neighbors. These acts of service are renewing my faith in my own agency.
#MuslimsAct is a digital campaign that we just launched on Twitter [[link removed]] , Facebook [[link removed]] , and Instagram [[link removed]] to share these stories with the world. They don’t excuse this administration’s insufficient response to COVID-19 — in fact, many are direct responses to the lack of federal support. What they do, though, is call us to our better selves. They remind us of the humanity that we at Muslim Advocates spend so much of our time defending.
I have a simple request: share a story. Where are you seeing American Muslims working to heal this country? I’d love to feature it, just reply to this email — or post it yourself using #MuslimsAct.
However you’re healing right now, may you find ease in it. I honor your humanity. It is enough.
