Last week, I traveled to Montana to speak about Social Security to an amazing group of seniors working for economic security and health care for all.

These seniors are rightfully outraged that Republican politicians — most of whom are millionaires — want to make massive cuts to Social Security and Medicare’s earned benefits, including raising the retirement age.

One of those politicians is Tim Sheehy, the Donald Trump-endorsed frontrunner for the Republican Senate nomination in Montana. Sheehy — who has a net worth of at least $74 million¹ is running on “pure privatization” of health care in America.² In other words, he wants to destroy Medicare by handing it over entirely to for-profit insurance corporations.

If Sheehy wins the Republican nomination, he’ll be taking on Senator Jon Tester — a longtime Social Security champion — this November. We need to make sure Montana voters know Sheehy’s plan to cut and privatize their earned benefits.

Tester, alongside stalwart activists like the seniors I met last week, is fighting hard to keep his seat — and he needs our help. Split a donation of $5 between Jon Tester’s re-election campaign and Social Security Works today.

The seniors I met last week are passionate about keeping Jon Tester in the US Senate because they know he fights for them. As Tester himself puts it “Even entertaining the idea of gutting Social Security and Medicare is a slap in the face to every senior who has worked their entire life to earn these benefits.”³

We need to make sure Jon Tester stays in the US Senate, and isn’t replaced by anti-Social Security ideologue Tim Sheehy.
