As we begin this holiday weekend today with Good Friday and concluding with Easter Sunday, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt appreciation to each and every one of you. The hard work, and commitment each of you has contributed throughout the year is the only reason we are able to build our party from the grassroots-up, and for that we are deeply grateful. In the midst of our active schedules and our dedication to our common goals, let us not overlook the importance of rest, rejuvenation, and spending quality time with loved ones that this holy weekend provides. Governor Eric Holcomb announced that Mitchell, Indiana was chosen for the Carbon Capture Demonstration Projects Program, which provides a $500M investment into the city.

What he’s saying: “Proud to share @hd_materialsNA in Mitchell was chosen for the @ENERGY Carbon Capture Demonstration Projects Program. This $500M investment will propel #Indiana to the forefront of clean energy innovation.” - Gov. Holcomb said in a post on X.

What else happened this week? Gov. Holcomb celebrated the partnership between Plug and Play Tech Center and Zimmer Biomet, further solidifying Indiana as the Orthopedic Capital of the World.

Hoosiers are humble, but some accomplishments deserve proper recognition. It is time that we spread the word about the great work that our Hoosier Republican leaders have done to fund Indiana’s education system statewide.

Over the last 10+ years, Republican leadership has made HISTORIC investments in our state’s education system: 

• Historic increases in funding for K-12 and higher education. 
• Paying down $600 million in teacher pension debt.  
• Exceeding the recommendations of the Teacher Pay Commission.  
• Increasing the average teacher salary every year, including a $7,000 increase between 2018 and 2023. 
• Increasing the MINIMUM teacher salary to $40,000. 
• $1.47 BILLION more for K-12 education in 2023 alone. 
• Fully funded textbook costs so that parents aren’t burdened with these expenses. 
• Auto enrollment in the 21st Century Scholars Program, so no kid misses out on the opportunity they didn’t know they had. 
• Near universal school choice expansion, so that every parent can send their child to the school that best serves their needs. 

Hoosier Republicans have dedicated 56.6% of Indiana's budget to education. These investments show that Hoosier Republicans consider education a top priority and are putting forth the resources necessary to provide a top-notch education for all children in Indiana.

Applications are open for the 2024 Republican National Convention Internship Program! The Committee on Arrangements (“COA”) plans for and manages the Republican National Convention. See the one pager with more information above. 

To apply for the COA Internship Program, please submit the following:

1. RNC Internship Application. Please include your Resume and Personal Statement with your submission on the application portal
2. Two Letters of Recommendation emailed to [email protected]

To ensure a timely review of your application all materials are due by March 31, 2024. The COA Internship Program is a structured, full-time, unpaid internship, and positions are limited. The COA Internship Program begins Thursday, June 6, 2024 and concludes Sunday, July 21, 2024. Hours of business are Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (days and hours subject to change at the discretion of COA or intern supervisors).

Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch met with Zionsville High School's Hockey Club, who won the 4A State Championship. 

Secretary Diego Morales welcomed a group of students to his office offering a great opportunity to ask questions.

Attorney General Todd Rokita congratulated the Zionsville Hockey Club on their state championship.

Treasurer Daniel Elliott spoke at the Public Funds Management Seminar in Fishers.

Comptroller Elise Nieshalla met with members of Dubois, Martin and Lawrence County Elected Officials and staff to hear about the counties & tax distributions.

Senator Mike Braun celebrated Medal of Honor day and introduced legislation to honor recipients. 

Senator Todd Young spoke on the Senate floor about the 1954 Milan High School state championship.

Congressman Rudy Yakym visited Elkhart High School to speak to Mrs. Linda Fine's government class.

Congressman Jim Banks spoke at the Johnson County Republican Party Lincoln Day Dinner.

Congressman Jim Baird met with representatives from Purdue CARET.

Congresswoman Victoria Spartz participated in discussions at the VFW and Fishers Committee on Disability breakfast.
