Dear Friend, 

If you’ve been active in my campaign or engaged with my office, you probably know Tori. She was the very first volunteer to join my campaign way back in 2017, and over the years she’s served as my chief campaign advisor and campaign manager. She’s also been my stalwart Chief of Staff for six years, serving as the architect of all the success we’ve been able to accomplish in Albany and right here in Brooklyn. 

In 2022, I watched with great pride as Tori introduced Governor Hochul at a bill signing for legislation that would close a loophole in the state’s sexual harassment laws, a loophole that Tori herself was a victim of. Not only is she the glue that keeps my office together - she’s a changemaker in her own right.

For the past eight years, she’s also served as a Democratic District Leader, working tirelessly to do the unglamorous but incredibly important work of building the local Democratic party and helping elect candidates up and down the ballot. As a District Leader, Tori is an unwavering voice making sure that the Democratic party in Brooklyn is always doing the right thing.

But now Tori needs our help. Because she’s had the courage to stand up to the powers that be and demand a stronger, better Democratic Party, she’s being challenged in this year’s election. Because she’s used her voice to support Democratic candidates - which is her job as a District Leader! - she’s being silenced. We can’t let that happen. 

Tori’s had my back every step of the way and now I’ve got hers. I’m hosting her first ever fundraiser to support her re-election - along with our friends Councilman Justin Brannan and Senator Iwen Chu, the Bay Ridge Democrats and the Stars & Stripes Democratic Club - next Thursday, April 4th. 

Will you join me in supporting Tori and making sure she gets re-elected as our District Leader?
