Governor Josh Shapiro: Our democracy depends on this and we need your help.
John, it’s Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro here with a time-sensitive request for you.

I know firsthand that Democratic victories directly depend on support from grassroots supporters like you. That’s why I’m reaching out to personally ask for your assistance to help us meet the DGA’s critical end-of-quarter goal.

For years, far-right extremists have attempted to undermine our democracy and take away Americans’ most fundamental rights in the name of “freedom.” But when everything from abortion, to voting rights, to Social Security is at risk? That’s not freedom. That’s just plain wrong.

And it’s why since day one as governor, I've worked to expand voting rights, secure our elections, and make it easier for every eligible Pennsylvanian to cast a ballot, not harder.

But I can’t do it alone, team, and the stakes are higher than ever. Earlier this month, Donald Trump clinched the GOP presidential nomination, setting him and his divisive agenda up for a rematch against President Biden this November. Trump and his far-right allies are determined to tear down the progress that President Biden has delivered – from investing in infrastructure to increasing health care enrollment and lowering the cost of prescription drugs.

Trump’s brand of MAGA extremism is also gaining traction in state-level races across the country. In North Carolina, Democratic Attorney General Josh Stein is in a neck-and-neck race for governor with a Trump-endorsed extremist and conspiracy theorist who wants to make abortion illegal “for any reason.”

And he’s not the only one. As we speak, far-right politicians are working day and night to further their dangerous agenda and tear down the real freedom that Democrats like President Biden and myself have fought hard for. We can’t let them win – and we’re falling short of this goal, so your help is more important now than ever. So I’m asking, team: please rush a donation of $3 to help us reach our end-of-quarter goal, elect Democratic governors across the country, and stop GOP attacks on our most fundamental rights. This $150,000 goal ends at midnight Sunday – so please don’t wait.
