Friends and Colleagues,

Congress just passed the Afghan Allies Protection Act that With Honor Action helped initiate years ago with former Army Ranger and For Country Caucus Co-Chair Rep Jason Crow, his fellow Army veteran and caucus member Rep Brad Wenstrup, and Air Force veteran and With Honor Action Senate ally, Sen Roger Wicker.

Rye Barcott sitting down with Pedro Echevarria from C-SPAN's Washington Journal, discussing the largest increase in Special Immigrant Visas to date for our Afghan allies.

This act authorizes the largest increase of Special Immigrant Visas in the program's history, a total of 12,000 for Afghan allies who served with our forces and their dependents, creating a pipeline for more than 50,000 Afghan allies and their dependents to become American citizens. You can hear more about this significant achievement in this short clip above of a veteran calling into C-SPAN’s Washington Journal. You can learn more about additional bipartisan legislation we are advocating for to support our Afghan allies at this link ([link removed]) .

We continue to advocate across party lines for urgent aid for another ally in the fight for democracy: Ukraine. We remain cautiously optimistic an aid package will happen shortly. You can hear more about a bipartisan bill initiated by U.S. Marine and past For Country Caucus Co-Chair, Rep. Jared Golden, and his Republican counterpart former FBI officer, Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, in this excerpt from Face the Nation:

You can hear their first-hand accounts of the war from Ukrainian warfighters who joined us in Washington D.C. this month, at our Twitter account linked here ([link removed]) .

It is possible and necessary to fight polarization in Congress and achieve serious bipartisan results that defend our allies in the fight for democracy. Bipartisan results strengthen our own strained democracy as well, while failure undermines us.
