*EED helps agencies create a healthy work culture by acting as a central source for agencies to receive assistance, guidance, and services in finding talent, job/career development, and employee wellbeing. EED embeds a DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) lens into all of our work, grounding our services in an anti-racist and intersectional equity lens.

The?*Small Agency EED Office?*supports the?work of creating a culture of equity and inclusion across all DES? small agency customers. Acting as a liaison between DES and the Office of Equity, this office will ensure that all small agencies have the resources to deliver culturally relevant, equitable, barrier-free services that are fully inclusive of all identities and that do not replicate systems of oppression. This office will provide consultation and guidance to DES small agency customers related to equity and inclusion work and expectations set by the State Equity office.?

*About the Opportunity*
The?*Small**?Agency Equity Manager* is essential to the DES vision of supporting the business of government by helping small agencies who might not have the resources of large organizations make equity and belonging a key feature of their business with the intention of enhancing the overall impact to Washingtonians. They will lead the Pro-Equity Consultant Team to provide Small Agency executive and leadership coaching and technical assistance that empowers, champions, challenges, and inspires them to make policy and system change to achieve equitable and just policies, practices, and outcomes with accountability. As the equity subject matter expert, this position, with consultation with the Assistant Director, will be responsible to assist small agencies, when applicable and necessary, with developing and maintaining policies, procedures, rules, and regulations related to equity across the small agencies.?
