Irving, TX - As we go into the holiday weekend, I wanted to wish all those celebrating a Happy Easter! I hope you have a relaxing weekend surrounded by friends and family.

Last weekend, I spoke at the Career Connections day at Carroll Senior High about my path to Congress and my work to represent our district in Washington, D.C.

Then, I had the opportunity to present the Congressional Award’s Silver Medal to an outstanding Texas-24 resident and one of my Youth Advisory Council participants, Riya Sajan. She completed 200 hours of public service, 100 hours of personal development and physical fitness, and a three-day expedition trip to earn her medal.

Wednesday, I toured DaVita Preston Dialysis in Dallas, a leading healthcare provider specializing in comprehensive kidney care services. Thank you to Jared Kisner, a nurse and dialysis facility administrator, for hosting me!

Thursday, I toured Bear Robotics and saw their innovative technology revolutionizing how companies in North Texas can do business. I enjoyed learning more and seeing their impressive demonstrations.

Texas-24 Work of the Week

This week, I led a letter with my colleagues to end the Small Business Administration's work from home policies. While small business owners wake up and go to work every day, SBA employees are allowed to stay home while their building sits empty, wasting taxpayer dollars. This administration must get federal employees back in the office to work for the American people.

Texas-24 Hometown Hero

This week’s Texas-24 Hometown Hero is Tina Washington, Director of Above the Clouds - Texas. Above the Clouds is a nonprofit organization that offers free creative arts programs for children ages 5-17 years old. Through this program, kids are able to pursue their passion for the arts regardless of finances. I’d like to thank Tina for all she does for North Texans!

Congressional Art Competition

I’m honored to announce that I was selected to co-chair the 2024 Congressional Art Competition! This is an amazing opportunity for artists to showcase their talents and one of our most successful student programs! I’m looking forward to seeing this year's artwork. The deadline to submit your artwork is April 15th. You can learn more by clicking here or on the photo below.
