Thank you for reading my March newsletter.
My newsletter this month is a bit different for obvious reasons. I hope you, your families, friends and neighbours are all staying safe and well. This is an extremely difficult time for everyone but thank you to the overwhelming majority of Cardiff Central residents who have been following public health and government guidance and instructions closely, playing your part in helping to slow the spread of the virus.
Thank you also to every resident working on the front-line providing essential services, especially in the NHS and in social care, and everyone whose simple acts of kindness in volunteering to help someone in need demonstrate the very best of our brilliant city and our people.
Please remember, the instruction from Government is that no-one may leave their home except for:
- Shopping for essentials
- One form of exercise daily
- Medical or care providing needs
- *Essential* work travel
If we all continue to do this, the better the chance we have of protecting our community, protecting our NHS and saving the lives of people around us.
Police are enforcing these measures. Please stay at home. Help save lives.
If you are self-isolating or shielding longer term on instruction from public health and your medical practitioners and need help, don't forget there are plenty of willing volunteers and support available to you.
