With public schools in our state already under threat from Republican private vouchers and extreme book bans, Morrow’s nomination represents yet another attempt to roll back years of progress.
John,
The list of Republican extremists on North Carolina’s ballot is growing.
This is the new Republican nominee for North Carolina’s superintendent of public instruction – the top office for North Carolina’s public schools. Michele Morrow has publicly called for violence against Democrats, including executing Obama and Biden.
With public schools in our state already under threat from Republican private vouchers and extreme book bans, Morrow’s nomination represents another attempt to push an extremist agenda.
It's become increasingly clear that the balance of power in both the House and the Presidency could very well come down to our actions right here in North Carolina. The rise of Republican extremism in our state is not just a political challenge, it’s a threat to the very fabric of democracy and the values we hold dear.
