On Tuesday, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in a case that threatens access to mifepristone—one of the medications used in one of the most common methods of abortion care in the U.S. We, at PRH, reject this baseless, politically motivated attack on vital care and I was in front of the Court to make this absolutely clear: medication abortion is safe, effective, and essential for our communities.

As we await the Court’s final decision in the coming months, our physicians will continue to uphold scientific evidence and dispel the false claims made by anti-abortion groups to confuse and scare people seeking care as well as educate our colleagues and our communities about what’s on the line.
Make no mistake, this case is part of a coordinated and dangerous extremist agenda to coerce, control, and shame people for accessing the health care they need. We won’t back down.
