Dear John,
On Tuesday, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in a case that threatens access to mifepristone—one of the medications used in one of the most common methods of abortion care in the U.S. We, at PRH, reject this baseless, politically motivated attack on vital care and I was in front of the Court to make this absolutely clear: medication abortion is safe, effective, and essential for our communities.

Read our analysis of the oral arguments here and watch as I share what’s at stake on MSNBC after I got home from the steps of the Supreme Court. As we await the Court’s final decision in the coming months, our physicians will continue to uphold scientific evidence and dispel the false claims made by anti-abortion groups to confuse and scare people seeking care as well as educate our colleagues and our communities about what’s on the line.
Make no mistake, this case is part of a coordinated and dangerous extremist agenda to coerce, control, and shame people for accessing the health care they need. We won’t back down.
No matter the outcome—people who need abortions, support abortions, and provide abortions are not going anywhere. Please support PRH with a gift today. Thank you,
Dr. Jamila Perritt | PRH President & CEO
