I hope you can spend time with family and loved ones this weekend as we celebrate Christ?s Resurrection. Easter Sunday is a time of great hope and rebirth. Please be sure to take a moment to remember why we celebrate this weekend.
The legislature is on its annual Easter break and will resume our work on Tuesday afternoon.
Lake Monongalia Clean Up
Before our break, I was joined by New London Mayor Dahl at a committee hearing for my bill that provides funding to the Middle Fork Crow River Watershed District to mitigate dangerous levels of hydrogen sulfide gas in Lake Monongalia.
High levels of hydrogen sulfide gas have existed in Lake Monongalia for years?impacting water and air quality for wildlife, fish, vegetation, and local residents.
Thank you, Mayor Dahl, for traveling to St. Paul to share with committee members why this project is so important for New London!
