You can absolutely make a difference, even from home

Stay home if you can. Donate if you can.

If you're like me, right now you might feel a bit paralyzed -- by fear, by uncertainty and unknowns. We know people need help, but we're not sure how, or if, we can do anything from home.

I have good news: You absolutely can make an incredible difference -- in fact, you probably already are. First, staying home is saving lives. No matter where you live, you are actively helping by staying home as much as you possibly can. I know it can feel like you're doing nothing, but I promise you're doing so, so much by simply staying home.

Second, you can support organizations throughout the country working to support families who are food insecure at this critical time. Feeding America, Meals on Wheels, and No Kid Hungry are just three of the hundreds of organizations stepping up to do phenomenal work all over the country, but if you've been looking for a place to donate, I can't recommend them highly enough.

Thank you for all that you are already doing, including staying home. That alone is an incredible gift to this country and to your community -- and I know how much of a sacrifice it is.
