Dear Friend, [link removed] [[link removed]]
On Friday night, exactly one month after we launched our campaign, we hit the $100,000 mark in donations -- this is easily the fastest I've ever hit that milestone in my three campaigns. I am incredibly grateful for this support.
But despite this exciting milestone, there's a lot of work ahead of us. If you haven't chipped in yet, please do. Visit our website at NeighborsUnitedWard6.com [[link removed]] to get a yard sign or volunteer — and tell your neighbors: Decline to Sign the recall petition!

We’ve already put in a second order of yard signs, and our first mailer hit mailboxes this past weekend. We have more planned to make sure voters understand why this recall could hurt them and inflict lasting damage on Ward 6. As Tommy Wells shared last week, the cost of the recall elections would be $2.2 million in taxpayer dollars and up to six months of having no representation and no constituent services for Ward 6. And our website is debunking recall campaign myths, like claims that signing the petition will just “send a message” or “start a conversation.”
For more facts, check out the thoughtful, thorough, two-part editorial from Ward 6's own Capitol Hill Corner . It takes a deep dive into my record on public safety and looks at who's behind the recall effort. Read Part 1 here [[link removed]] and Part 2 here [[link removed]]
Among our 700+ donors, 70% live in Ward 6, 95% live in DC, and 76% are small-dollar donors giving under $100. That's what a grassroots campaign looks like and is a stark contrast to the people behind the recall, where less than half of their donors live in Ward 6.
Thanks for reading and for your continued support,
Charles Allen
P.S. - Just yesterday, the DC Association of Realtors voted to support me and oppose any kind of recall!
