Take Action Now!

Friend,

Today is National Census Day, and I’m asking you to take a few minutes to fill out yours

The U.S. Census does more than count the country’s population. The data collected from the Census is used to determine how billions of dollars in federal funds are distributed across the country. It allocates money to different school districts, hospitals, infrastructure projects, and other programs.

The data collected during the 2020 Census will be used to make decisions for the next 10 years, and we only have one opportunity to get this right. In times like these, the Census is more meaningful than ever. Census data is used to fund research and programs that provide essential information for our public health system.

The census is completely confidential and DOES NOT include any questions about immigration status. Your responses are protected BY LAW and the information you provide CANNOT be shared with law enforcement agencies.

Participating in the Census is now easier than ever before. You can fill out the 2020 Census by:

  1. Mail: If you’ve already received the form, simply mail it back
  2. Phone: Call 1-844-330-2020 (English), 1-844-468-2020 (Spanish)
  3. Online: Go to www.my2020Census.gov

It really is that easy, AND it takes less than 10 minutes! Fill out yours TODAY.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Census Bureau has extended the self-response period through August 14.

Responding by August 14 ensures that you do not receive an in-person visit from an enumerator later on. Don’t wait until then. Fill out your Census TODAY

If you have any questions on the Census, please call our friends at the NALEO Education Fund at 1-877-EL-CENSO (1-877-352-3676). They have a toll-free national bilingual hotline to answer all your Census questions.

You can also check out our YouTube videos, where we’ve answered some common Census questions. Click here for the video in English and click here for the video in Spanish

Already filled out your census? Talk to your family and friends (from a safe distance) TODAY and make sure they also participate, regardless of immigration status. Everyone needs to be counted.

In solidarity,

Juana
