There's no doubt: This case changed the face of representation in Wisconsin. Instead of a gerrymandered GOP stronghold, voters will get legitimate choices this fall and see more Democrats in their state legislature because of it.

WaPo: Wisconsin Supreme Court overturns GOP-favored legislative maps [[link removed]]
Wisconsin's newly-progressive State Supreme Court gave us the decision that led to our new, fair maps, John.
Wisconsin -- where we've largely been seen as the most gerrymandered state in the country over the last few decades -- had a case in the state Supreme Court seeking to redraw our suppressive maps more fairly. It's the case that MAGA Republicans were most afraid of after a progressive judge won and flipped the deeply conservative court blue.
So how gerrymandered was Wisconsin? In 2018 Democratic state assembly candidates received 54 percent of the popular vote in Wisconsin, but Republicans still won 63 of the assembly’s 99 seats -- just three seats short of the two-thirds supermajority Republicans would need to override a gubernatorial veto.
To paraphrase Joe Biden -- these new, fair maps are a big "_____" deal . Our courts were able to restore true democracy here in Wisconsin and lay the groundwork for new maps that will give us the representation we deserve.
These are the wins we get when we flip state courts, John, and we need your help to flip more. Chip in $25 or whatever you can today to support progressive judicial candidates across the country >>> [[link removed]]

We MUST get more progressives on the courts. Here's how we do it:
➜ In 26 states -- including Florida, California, and Maine -- State Supreme Court justices are appointed. It's crucial that Democrats win and control governorships in these states to ensure progressive judges are nominated.
➜ In the other 22 states, like Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, judges run in elections. We have to support progressive judicial candidates across the board to end the GOP domination of our state courts.
➜ We also need to pour resources into state legislatures who choose justices (like Virginia and South Carolina) or approve the judges nominated by the governors.
With your help, we can supercharge our efforts on the ground to win state court seats and restore our judiciary. Pitch in $25 or whatever you can to help progressives win! >>> [[link removed]]

In the wake of Donald Trump's presidency, we've seen hard-right judges stacked on the Supreme Court, federal courts, and state courts across the country, delivering devastating rulings that have weakened voting rights, gun reforms, climate protections, and completely overturned abortion rights.
We must fight back and put more Democrats on the courts. [[link removed]]
The Senate is the only body which can confirm federal judges and as such, Democratic control of the Senate is crucial to shaping judicial appointments. We must ensure the Senate stays in Democratic hands in 2024.
And in the states, we must pour resources into often highly contested judicial races that get little attention, but that have a wide influence on the daily lives of Americans.
Progress Courts PAC is working every day to hold the Senate and help elect progressive judges across the country, and we need your help.
