John,

There’s one simple reason we’ve got a special election happening in this district right now – Ken Buck cut and run.

Three years ago, Ken Buck welcomed Lauren Boebert to Congress with open arms. Now he’s quitting before his term is up because he can’t work with Boebert or her MAGA cronies anymore.

A graphic contrasting two screenshots. On the left, a tweet from Ken Buck posted December 2020 with a photo of congresswoman-elect Lauren Boebert in his office holding a gun painted like an American flag. On the right, an AP news article citing Buck’s reasons for resigning as his party’s “insidious narratives”. The captions read: “How it started, How it’s going.”

Ken Buck is tucking tail and running away instead of fighting for the people of Colorado. And now the woman he’s running from is running for his seat.

Ken might be afraid of a fight, but I’m not. I spent 18 years as a United States Marine and I never walk away from a battle when things get tough.

This special election means we’re running two races at the same time – one to fill the seat immediately, and one to decide who faces Boebert in the regular election later this year.

Boebert isn’t running in the special election, and no matter who wins she will be the opponent to beat in November. Our campaign is the only one with the resources and experiences needed to take Boebert down.

But running in two races means we have to raise twice as much, and raise it twice as fast.

Let’s keep this momentum going strong. Chip in now and help me spread the word to everyone who wants to see Boebert out of Congress!
