Yesterday was our first FEC deadline of the election year, and with Mitch McConnell's super PAC planning to spend over $12 million on our race, we couldn't afford to fall short of our goal.

But this wasn't an ordinary deadline. We had to change our campaign strategy over the last few weeks to rely almost entirely on online outreach to help us hit this crucial goal.

Well, John, you didn't let us down. Thanks to your support, we were able to hit our $80,000 goal.

Even in uncertain times, this grassroots team continues to have my back. That means the world to me, but this fight is bigger than me -- it's about all of us. It's about giving a hand up to those who need it the most and working together to make real change, because families deserve better than the inaction in Washington.

We have a tough fight ahead of us, but this scrappy farm girl has never been one to back away from a challenge. I know if we continue this fight together, we can flip this seat and the Senate.
