David Harris presents a two-part series for AJC Academy on the Soviet Jewry movement, one of the most successful human rights campaigns in modern history. Part 1, focused on the decades-long struggle to let Jews emigrate and can be viewed here [link removed]. Part 2, which will take place today, will focus on what happened to the nearly two million people who emigrated. David was active in the campaign for many years, and was the only Russian-speaking American activist who had unique vantage points from Moscow, Leningrad, Vienna, Rome, Washington, New York, and Jerusalem.
