It’s also a celebration of the resilience, strength and impact of our members - and on that note, I want to draw your attention to some of the things we're celebrating within NCRC. Please take a look at our 2023 Impact Report. It goes deep into how much we and our more than 700 member organizations achieved last year.
How much? We made a material, life-changing difference to hundreds of individuals and families, reached and informed millions, and yielded $11.1 billion in commitments from banks for lending, investments and philanthropy that will strengthen entire communities across the nation. The collective force of our research, investigations, publishing, grant-making and advocacy – shoulder to shoulder with our member organizations in 43 states and DC and Puerto Rico – also influenced critical changes to government policies and private sector practices that have sustained racial wealth inequality in America for far too long.
The challenges are deep. We don’t win every battle. But we made real progress in 2023, and we’re going hard now to accomplish more this year. Thank you for your support, participation, interest and commitment to building a just economy.
