Transit investment to increase equitable access to employment
In a new analysis, Urban researchers show that enforcing priority bus lanes could expand job access for Washington, DC, residents. Compared with 50 percent enforcement, fully enforced priority bus lanes would multiply the number of bus-accessible jobs by five.


Additionally, enforcing priority bus lanes could reduce operating hours and thus costs, offering a cost-saving approach to increasing equitable employment access.
