Legislative Update
Congratulations to the Little Falls Schools for their groundbreaking construction for the upcoming Little Flyers Childcare Center. The partnership between Little Falls Community Schools and the City of Little Falls will bring much-needed childcare access to the area. Great work to everyone who has put in the effort to get this important project off the ground.
Religious liberty continues to be a contentious issue on the house floor this week as House Republicans brought forward a bill to restore the religious exemption to portions of the Minnesota Human Rights Act. This has been an ongoing issue due to the incongruous definitions of sexuality and gender identity that the majority party made last year. Leaders from various religions have made it clear that this must be fixed in order to protect religious liberty in our state. Unfortunately, the motion was tabled with a bipartisan minority voting to instead take action on Representative Niska?s bill.
During the Easter season, we gather to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior,?Jesus Christ. His selfless sacrifice on the cross, borne out of boundless love for humanity, remains etched in our hearts. Through His suffering, death, and triumphant return, we find hope, redemption, and the promise of eternal life. As we come together, let us reflect on the profound meaning of Easter. It is a time of renewal, forgiveness, and grace. May this season fill your hearts with joy, peace, and the assurance that we are never alone.
Wishing you all a blessed Easter.
