I'll explain: I just qualified for the November election, and I've got no primary opponent! This means I'm one step closer to another four years on the DeKalb County Commission, and now, I can focus solely on sharing my message and securing the win in the General Election this fall.

Before you decide whether to add your name to the list of folks supporting my work in our community, I want to make sure you know about my plans to keep delivering on the issues that matter most in DeKalb, like:

🌱 Expanding the DeKalb Green New Deal – I've spent the last four years laying the groundwork to execute one of the most environmentally progressive agendas for a county in the deep south.

Now, we're able to push for bold solutions to the climate crisis in our own community through the use of clean energy projects and environmentally conscious infrastructure, nature conservation and preservation, and rooting our efforts in environmental justice and equity for all. I plan to continue this trend – and I've got the 100% green energy by 2050 countywide commitment to prove it!

🏥 Increasing Access to Healthcare – Our lawmakers at the top are failing us, John. Georgia is 1 of only 10 states to not have fully expanded Medicaid, abortion is nearly banned in the state, and privatized insurance and hospital bills are crippling average Americans in our community.

That's why I took the initiative to start development on a mental-health crisis facility in DeKalb, so that folks can get the care they deserve! We need leaders that will invest in our community, and I'm going to continue seeking opportunities to do so as long as I'm in office.

🛣️ Improving Public Infrastructure – We deserve a functional and clean community to live in, but many systems in DeKalb are aging and are losing their efficiency.

In my first term report, I detail just how I'm improving our roads, sidewalks, and trail networks; advocating for and creating sustainable and affordable housing; and expanding rapid public transit to create reliable county infrastructure that works for all of our residents.

DeKalb is a diverse community, and I want to make sure my mission is in line with everyone's needs – which is why I want to hear what you think.
