Reflecting on the success of 2023, we’re ready to continue the fight for a Green New Deal. Here’s the plan:
➡️ Last year, the Congressional Progressive Caucus re-introduced the Green New Deal Resolution to Congress. With leaders like Senator Markey and Representative Ocasio-Cortez leading the fight in Congress, we’re ramping up the work to hold other Congress members accountable and create a livable future for future generations.
➡️ With the current news of the devastating Miami floods,1 we need to organize our communities for more climate funding to re-enforce our current infrastructure, and ensure any future infrastructure can withstand future extreme weather events. We need more organizers across the country to help fight for more federal funding for climate action.
➡️ This movement is at the intersection of labor, justice, jobs, and racial equality, so we’re going to continue to fight in solidarity with unions and union organizers as we fight for better jobs and better wages.
➡️ During this election cycle, we’re going to support and endorse candidates running on a platform to pass a Green New Deal, and we’re going to hold them accountable for their promises.
