I don’t normally reach out, but I wanted to take a minute today to send you a personal note and tell you about Vice President Kamala Harris’ historic visit to Marjory Stoneman Douglas. It would mean a lot to me if you could read until the end, but if you’re short on time – will you chip in $15 to BAWN right now to elect gun safety candidates who will work with Kamala Harris to end gun violence and ensure no family has to endure the pain of having their child stolen by a mass shooter ever again? Every dollar donated goes directly to gun safety Democrats. >>
My life changed forever six years ago when a gunman with a legally purchased AR-15 stormed my daughter’s school in Parkland.
My beautiful daughter, Jaime, was murdered in the halls of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School along with 16 other students and educators.

For the last six years, I’ve dedicated my life to ending mass shootings and banning assault weapons, like the one used at my daughter’s school.
For the last six years, Marjory Stoneman Douglas has stood as a reminder of the devastation and destruction assault weapons cause our communities.
And for the last six years, we’ve called on our leaders to witness the bloodstains on the floor and bullet holes pockmarking crumpled Valentines.
So many refused.
But last weekend, Vice President Kamala Harris, alongside other members of the Biden Administration, answered our call.
They bore witness to the carnage that remains in the school, and Vice President Harris made a bold declaration:
She’s absolutely right! We KNOW gun safety legislation like red flag laws and assault weapons bans work.
Kamala and the Biden Administration are working tirelessly to end gun violence once and for all but gun-lobby-backed Republicans in Congress are blocking their agenda at every turn. We can’t allow these cowardly Republicans to continue sabotaging Vice President Harris’ gun safety agenda for even a moment longer while our children die in the halls of their schools. That’s why I’m teaming up with Ban Assault Weapons Now to elect bold gun safety Democrats, FLIP the House Majority blue, and EXPAND our Democratic Senate Majority so President Biden can finally sign life-saving gun safety bills into law (like the assault weapons ban). We need to raise $5,000 in the next 11 hours to rush funds to gun safety Democrats like Sherrod Brown, Ruben Gallego, and Colin Allred who are being targeted by the gun lobby’s deep pockets. So I’m personally asking: Will you chip in $15 – or whatever you can spare – right now to fully fund our campaign? Your contribution will directly support candidates who will work with Vice President Harris to pass critical gun safety legislation and protect our communities. >>
President Biden and Vice President Harris have made HISTORIC strides on gun safety.
They passed the FIRST bipartisan gun safety bill in DECADES.
They secured $750 MILLION in funding to support gun violence reduction programs, including red flag programs.
They’ve PLEADED with Congress to pass common-sense gun safety legislation – including an assault weapons ban – time and again.
But if we want to see President Biden sign these gun safety bills into law, we need to KICK gun-lobby-funded Republicans out of power, TAKE back the House Majority for gun safety Democrats, and ELECT a powerful Democratic Senate Majority.
Listen – we have a once-in-a-generation chance in November to secure a Democratic Trifecta powerful enough to ban assault weapons and end mass shootings for good. But the gun lobby has a massive war chest to take down our gun safety Democrats, so we can’t waste a single moment. We need to raise $5,000 in the next 11 hours to rush funds to candidates dedicated to passing Harris and Biden’s bold gun safety agenda and defeat Republicans standing in the way of our movement to end gun violence. Can I count on your $15 in the next 11 hours? The more you give, the more BAWN can give to gun safety candidates like Sherrod Brown, Ruben Gallego, and Colin Allred. >>
Thanks for joining our movement,
