Dear Friend—

Across the Puget Sound region, juvenile violent crime is skyrocketing. Tragically, juvenile criminals are making headlines for armed robbery, gun battles, and even intentionally running over innocent pedestrians with their cars. If you’re like me, you find this violence disturbing.

Yet, instead of acting to protect our communities, radical politicians are pushing to close the juvenile jail entirely in an initiative called Zero Youth Detention. I am leading the charge against this at the King County Council—will you stand with me? ([link removed])

I believe that dangerous criminals need to be behind bars for the safety of our communities, and that simply closing the jail doesn’t reform criminals. Yet, yesterday, the Law and Justice Committee heard that not only do far-left politicians want to close the jail, but they want to instead hold violent offenders in unlocked, unsecure rooms.

That’s right—King County wants to put murderers, rapists, and other violent criminals in unlocked homes spread throughout communities across the County, with nothing to keep them from escaping and inflicting more harm onto innocent people. I won’t stand for it, and I hope you won’t either. ([link removed])

I am the lone King County Councilmember who is mounting an attack against these backwards policies and fighting to bring common sense to our justice system. But I can’t do it without your help. Will you donate $25, $50, $100, or $250 to my campaign to help me continue my fight? ([link removed])

I do have some good news! The radical politicians are on track to fail in their mission to close the juvenile jail by 2025. But we can’t let up—they are now trying to close it by 2028. It’s time to pay attention and get involved.

As a former federal prosecutor, I know that criminals need to be held accountable for their crimes or they will only commit more crimes. And it’s our children, our families, and our neighbors who stand to be victimized. We must all work together to protect our communities and demand accountability in our justice system. Can you support me with a gift of $25, $50, $100, or $250? ([link removed])

I am determined to make sure that violent criminals aren’t allowed to go free and am fighting to keep King County a good place to live, work, and raise a family. However, I need your support to do it. Give to my re-election campaign to help me defeat the radical agenda to release violent offenders onto our streets. ([link removed])

Thank you for your support,

Reagan
