Last week, the Biden Administration announced the latest crackdown on
gas-powered cars. This is the most aggressive environmental standard ever and
will force nearly 70% of all vehicles to be electric by 2032. This de-facto
electric vehicle mandate is a Trojan Horse that will put an end to the middle
class in Michigan.



My district has over 1,000 manufacturing businesses and suppliers and supports
a manufacturing workforce of 77,580—many of whom are in the automotive
industry. This comply-or-die EV agenda being pushed by Joe Biden will put tens
of thousands of manufacturing jobs in my district at significant risk of
extinction. However, this doesn’t just apply to my district. Any other district
that has manufacturing will see a massive cut to jobs and a reduction of its
middle class. This radical agenda will decimate the automotive industry across
our country. I will not stand by idly while Joe Biden props up the middle class
in China and sends our jobs to Mexico.



Since Biden took office in 2021, his energy policies have been nothing short
of madness. One of his first acts as president was to shut down critical
pipelines and cancel American energy projects that would have allowed us to be
energy independent.



As a member of Congress, I am doing everything in power to stop Biden’s
corrupt energy agenda and bring American energy dominance back to our great
nation.
