*Dear neighbors,*

It wouldn?t be spring in Minnesota without a little snow! I hope everyone is making the most of it and staying safe and warm as we head into April.

We just passed an important legislative deadline on March 22nd, and we are still hard at work on solutions aimed at improving the lives of middle and working class Minnesotans.

*Community Coffee Hour*

On Saturday, April 6th at 9:00am I will be hosting another Community Coffee Hour? this time at Galaxie Library. This event is an opportunity for you to share any thoughts or concerns you have about issues you care about as we enter the final weeks of the Legislative Session. I hope to see you there.

*Joint Budget Agreement*

The House DFL, Senate DFL, and Governor Walz have agreed on a supplemental budget framework [ [link removed] ] that will continue our state on the right path to help all Minnesotans have a better life. This budget will enable lawmakers to take action this session on some of the most urgent challenges facing working families and communities while maintaining Minnesota?s strong economic outlook into the future.

The transformational budget lawmakers enacted during the historically productive 2023 Legislative Session has laid the groundwork for enduring prosperity, sustained growth, and a future where every Minnesotan can thrive. Not only that, our recent budget forecast shows under DFL leadership, Minnesota?s economy is growing and our budget outlook is stable over the long term.

Still, we?re hearing from Minnesotans that our overall economic picture doesn?t necessarily reflect the reality many working families are facing. During the rest of the 2024 session, House DFL lawmakers will work with Governor Walz and the Senate DFL ? while staying closely in touch with our neighbors and community members ? to lower the cost of living, deliver economic security for working families, and grow the state?s middle class.

*Happy Easter!*

I?m wishing everyone who celebrates a happy and peaceful Easter!?
