Hello John,
I hope that you are all staying safe and well during these challenging times.
Further to our communication for DCYA funded organisations, I’m also circulating this letter from Bernard Gloster, the Chief Executive of Tusla, received recently by our colleagues at the Wheel, which confirms there will be no interruption to normal SLA Grant Aid or other routine Tusla funding as a result of the onset and impact of Covid-19, as I know this will affect a number of organisations working in the youth sector.
Zoom check-in sessions for youth workers
I'd also like to let you know that our practice team have been working to curate training and resources to support youth workers, youth organisations and the wider sector which they will be sharing with you later this week. As part of our response, NYCI wants to check in with those of you working in the sector to see how you are managing, what are some of the challenges you are facing, and how we can further support you.
A number of slots are available on April 3rd and 8th. Find out more here.
We recognise the varied experiences out in the sector, and these sessions will support sharing and discussion with one another, and will help ensure our evolving response continues to meet your needs.
If you have any questions or feedback, let me know.
As ever, we'd remind you of the current public health measures encouraging us all to stay home to stay safe and well,
Kind regards,
Mary
