What are they waiting for?
They know that glyphosate, the main chemical ingredient in the pesticide Roundup, has been linked to cancer.1
That's why it was such good news when Bayer reformulated its residential products to be glyphosate-free.2 But its agriculture product does have glyphosate, and it gets sprayed on millions of acres of farmland every year.
If Bayer can take glyphosate out of some of its products, it should take it out of all of them. We're calling on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to ban Roundup sales until it is reformulated to be safe. Add your name today.
Roundup is the most widely used herbicide in the world, and it gets sprayed across large swaths of farmland, and in parks, gardens and lawns every year.3
But the risks aren't worth it to kill a few weeds.
Exposure to glyphosate can be especially dangerous for children. Early contact with the chemical can result in liver inflammation and metabolic disorder in early adulthood, which could lead to liver cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular disease later in life.4
While the reformulation of residential Roundup helps, exposure doesn't just come from spraying Roundup yourself in your yard. "Roundup-Ready" food crops like soy, corn and beets can still have toxic glyphosate residues on them by the time they get to your plate.5
Monsanto, the original maker of Roundup, has known since 2015 that its glyphosate-containing products may be dangerous to humans. Almost a decade later, glyphosate is still being used in agricultural Roundup as its main active ingredient.6 That has to change.

Monsanto has settled more than 100,000 Roundup-related lawsuits and has 30,000 lawsuits against it still pending. The company has paid plaintiffs about $11 billion as of May 2022.7
Why should Bayer be able to sell a product containing potentially carcinogenic chemicals, even as more people are exposed to glyphosate and more victims come forward?
