Friends, up until this point, I’ve not been actively involved in
the 2024 campaign for Maryland’s soon-to-be-open seat in the U.S. Senate.
I’ve been busy this year debunking the GOP’s fraudulent “impeachment
inquiry” against President Biden and campaigning for strong Democrats all
over America.
But with former Republican Governor Larry Hogan entering the race, it’s an
all-hands-on-deck moment right here in Maryland because we must defend
this seat to maintain our narrow majority in the Senate. Hogan would just
be another brick-in-the-wall for Donald Trump and the MAGA forces that
rule what used to be Abe Lincoln’s party.
That’s why I’m coming out right now for Angela Alsobrooks, and proudly endorsing her
campaign to be the next United States Senator from Maryland.

There are plenty of reasons why Angela is the clear choice to represent
Maryland in the Senate, but here are two big ones in my mind:
1) Angela is a passionate advocate for Maryland. Like outgoing Senator Ben
Cardin, she has worked her way up in our politics by solving people’s
problems, expanding educational opportunity for our kids, protecting the
rights of women and enforcing the law against lawbreakers—people like
Donald Trump.
2) She is the person we need on the Senate floor defending women’s
reproductive freedom and the voting rights of the people against the MAGA
party.
