** Wish you could book trains more than 12 weeks in advance?

Hello Supporter

Are your summer plans STUCK because you can't book train tickets more than 12 weeks in advance?

Frustrating, isn't it? We think so!

It's also bad news for the environment, because it puts train travel at a disadvantage compared to flying or driving.

Imagine you live in Manchester and you want to travel to Cornwall this August. You go online to book train tickets, only to find they aren't available yet... and won't be until May!

You check an airline's website instead, and find that you can book return flights to Newquay for August, no problem.

Is it any wonder that a lot of people end up flying?

We're campaigning for the train ticket booking window to be expanded. But we need your help! We're looking for examples of people who want to travel by train this summer, but whose plans are STUCK because they can’t book more than 12 weeks in advance.

Is that you?

Maybe you want to visit the seaside, go to a festival, or attend a family wedding or graduation.

Why not get involved this year by organising an event in your workplace, school or community to celebrate the week and spread the message? Or simply share this email with your friends and family and encourage them to sign up for our Better Transport Week updates ([link removed]) . By getting involved with Better Transport Week you can celebrate the sustainable transport that you care about and encourage more people on board – giving green transport a bright future!
