As Israel continues its operations to defeat Hamas and free the hostages, some are calling on our ally to prematurely, unilaterally and unconditionally stop fighting.
The IDF has done a remarkable job destroying Hamas' infrastructure and capabilities so far. Almost all Hamas battalions have been dismantled, but four battalions remain in the southern Gazan city of Rafah. As Israeli War Cabinet Minister Benny Gantz recently said, "Ending the war without clearing out Rafah is like sending a firefighter to extinguish 80% of the fire."
