Governor Lamont Directs Flags To Half-Staff Friday in Honor of Former U.S. Senator Joseph I. Lieberman [[link removed]]

Posted on March 28, 2024

(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Ned Lamont today announced that as a mark of solemn respect for the memory and longstanding service of former U.S. Senator Joseph I. Lieberman, he is directing U.S. and state flags in Connecticut lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on the day of the former senator’s funeral, which has been scheduled for Friday, March 29, 2024.

Accordingly, since no flag should fly higher than the U.S. flag, all other flags, including state, municipal, corporate, or otherwise, should also be lowered during this same duration of time.

The funeral service will be held at Congregation Agudath Sholom in Stamford.
