We want to be radically transparent about our fundraising goals before this official, quarterly FEC deadline ends.

Here it goes:

We have big fundraising goals for the quarter. You probably know that already. Every competitive and expensive Senate race does. They are goals we all need to reach in order to win.

But here is the problem, and where our worry about reaching these goals come from:

Normally we raise about 20% of the money we need to reach our goals on the final day of the quarter. That's a huge amount, and a lot to count on.

But this quarter, the FEC fundraising deadline falls on Easter -- a day many people will more than understandably be spending with family.

So we can't count on that big final day.

That's why we are counting on a big day -- today -- to help give us the peace of mind that we'll reach those goals.

But we can't do that without lots and lots of donations in response to this email. So if you've been waiting for the right time to make a donation to Elissa Slotkin's campaign for Senate, she's hoping you'll do that today.
