When I first arrived in Congress, I arrived with my sisters in service AOC, Ayanna, and Ilhan.
Now, our Squad has doubled to include Reps. Jamaal Bowman, Cori Bush, Summer Lee, and Delia Ramirez.
In 2019 and 2020, we were contending with the greatest threat to our democracy in modern history. Today, we’re urgently working to save lives, demanding an immediate and permanent ceasefire to stop the genocide of the Palestinian people.
Last year, when I was censured in Congress for uplifting the voices of Palestinians, my Squad had my back.
This month, during President Biden’s State of the Union address, our Squad once again came together, wearing ceasefire pins in solidarity and holding placards that read “Lasting Ceasefire Now” and “Stop Sending Bombs.”
We were some of the first members of Congress to demand an end to the indiscriminate killing of Palestinians, and to call out the Israeli military’s atrocities. And our movement continues to grow thanks to you. Today, 79 members of Congress support a ceasefire.
Our Squad is a force for liberation. But because we are not afraid to speak truth to power, we are also under relentless attack.
Republican megadonors are funding anti-Palestinian group AIPAC and its network of PACs, which are running attack ads against us, misrepresenting us, recruiting anti-ceasefire candidates to run against us, and subverting our democracy. They have pledged to spend $100 million in an attempt to defeat us. We won’t be silenced or intimidated, but we need your help to push back.
Today, I am proud to endorse each member of my Squad. I need them by my side in Congress demanding human rights for all.
