AIPAC Statement on the Passing of Senator Joe Lieberman
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Senator Joe Lieberman, an American patriot who was a historic champion of U.S.-Israel relations and the Jewish people. Throughout his career, Senator Lieberman was indefatigable in advancing pro-Israel policy and legislation.
Time and time again, his leadership was essential and critical in promoting policies that strengthened the bonds between the United States and Israel. His extraordinary strength of character, humility, and fundamental decency inspired all who worked with him.
The pro-Israel movement will always be indebted to him, and he leaves a legacy that we will forever cherish. We extend our condolences to Hadassah and his children and grandchildren. May his memory be a blessing.

Dear A.,
Thirty rockets were launched by Hezbollah terrorists at the northern Israeli city of Kiryat Shmona today, killing 25-year-old Zahar Bashara – a resident of a Druze town in the north – and wounding two other Israelis.
Iron Dome was activated and shot down numerous incoming rockets that would have caused additional damage.
The barrage followed another onslaught of 50 rockets fired by the Iran-backed terror group into northern Israel yesterday.
The IDF continued to respond with airstrikes against Hezbollah deep inside Lebanese territory, killing “a significant terrorist” and several other terror operatives in a cell that was reportedly planning an infiltration attack into Israel.
Iran’s terror army in Lebanon is far larger and better armed than Hamas in Gaza. I encourage you to watch and share this recent AIPAC interview with Hezbollah expert Dr. Matthew Levitt of The Washington Institute for Near East Policy.

In Gaza, the IDF continued its operations to dismantle Hamas infrastructure and eliminate terror cells. Today Israeli troops discovered

a new “significant’ tunnel network in Khan Yunis, acting on intelligence from interrogated terror operatives. The IDF says it has reached three previously undiscovered tunnel shafts based on information revealed from captured terrorists.
Israeli forces continue to fight and capture Hamas terrorists in the Shifa hospital. In the video below, a senior commander reveals that 600-1,000 terrorists hid inside the medical facility and stored weapons in its maternity ward.

According to

a March Harvard-Harris poll of 2,111 registered voters, a majority of Americans continue to support our ally Israel in its war against Hamas, while opposing an unconditional ceasefire. Democrats and Republicans are resolute in their views.
Below are 7 key findings from the latest survey:
1. 63% of Americans oppose an unconditional ceasefire with Hamas.
Poll Question: "Do you favor an unconditional ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war that would leave everyone in place, or do you think any ceasefire should happen only after the release of all hostages and Hamas removed from power?"
2. 79% of Americans stand with Israel against Hamas.
Poll Question: "In this conflict do you support more Israel or more Hamas?"
3. 77% of Americans say Hamas must go.
Poll Question: "Should Hamas be allowed to continue to run Gaza or does Hamas need to be removed from running Gaza?"
4. A majority of Democrats and Republicans support the emergency aid package for Israel (56%).
Poll Question: "Do you think that Congress should or should not pass $14 billion in aid for Israel and for humanitarian aid for Gaza to help Israel defeat Hamas?"
5. 66% of Americans say Israel is trying to avoid civilian casualties in Gaza.
Poll Question: "Do you think Israel is trying to avoid civilian casualties in fighting its war against Hamas or not trying to avoid such casualties?"
6. 77% of Americans oppose Hamas continuing to rule Gaza.
Poll Question: "Should Hamas be allowed to continue to run Gaza or does Hamas need to be removed from running Gaza?"
7. 69% of Americans agree that the war in Gaza should end with Hamas being forced to release the hostages.
Poll Question: How do you think the crisis should be ended in Israel – by Israel removing its prime minister and having new elections or by Hamas being forced to release all hostages?

Top Urban War Expert: Israel Has Created a New Standard for Urban Warfare. Why Will No One Admit It?
The nation’s leading expert on urban warfare published a

must-read piece this week highlighting how Israel’s critics fail to call out Hamas for using the Shifa Hospital as a terror base, and Israel’s unprecedented actions to prevent civilian casualties.
“In my long career studying and advising on urban warfare for the U.S. military, I've never known an army to take such measures to attend to the enemy's civilian population, especially while simultaneously combating the enemy in the very same buildings.”
“In fact, by my analysis, Israel has implemented more precautions to prevent civilian harm than any military in history—above and beyond what international law requires and more than the U.S. did in its wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.”

Unthinkable horror. Remarkable resilience.
Avida Bachar is still recovering from severe injuries he sustained on October 7, when Hamas terrorists invaded his family’s home in Kibbutz Be’eri and shot him in the legs.
Avida and his family hid in their safe room. The terrorists shot through the door of the room, striking the family, and started to burn down the house when the door jammed.
Avida’s wife Dana and son Carmel were murdered in the attack. He and Hadar were rescued miraculously. This is the story of Avida’s recovery, and his resilience to live after unimaginable horror and grief:
