I write this reluctantly – asking you to do one more thing today. You are one of our top activists, but right now, I need you to please make a personal investment in order for us to meet our budget. We need to raise $10,000 by 11:59 p.m. on March 31 so we can scale up the fights we all care so much about.
We know this is one of many emails you have gotten like this. But you are the backbone of our work, John. Food & Water Action doesn’t take corporate money, so everything we do is possible because of generous planet protectors like you.
Without you, we can’t lobby Congress to pass legislation like the PFAS Action Act or the Break Free from Plastics Act, which will protect our water from harmful chemicals and plastic pollution. We can’t knock on doors or make calls to get out the vote in November and elect climate champions to office. And, we can’t do the on-the-ground organizing that counters the damage communities face from Big Ag and Big Oil.
Please know that your gift will be put to work by our organizers on the ground fighting factory farms in Iowa, banning fracking in California, and keeping water safe and affordable for everyone, and by our policy team pushing back against corporate misinformation to pass legislation that will bring real change to people’s lives.
Onward together,
Tamara Tripp
