Subject 45% of voters expect lockdown to last a month or two

APRIL 1, 2020: Forty-five percent (45%) of voters nationwide believe it will be a month or two before most businesses re-open and social activity resumes.[1] ([link removed])

A national survey of 1,000 registered voters conducted by Scott Rasmussen ([link removed]) found that 37% think it will take three months or longer. At the other end of the spectrum, 13% believe the lockdown ([link removed])_pandemic,_2020) will end within a couple of weeks.[1] ([link removed])

There is a significant partisan divide on the question. Seventy-one percent (71%) of Republicans ([link removed]) expect business and social activity to resume within a couple of months. Just 44% of Democrats are that optimistic.[1] ([link removed])

Most Democrats ([link removed]) (51%) believe at least three months will pass before things re-open. Just 23% of Republicans agree.[1] ([link removed])

As for independent voters, 57% expect social activity to resume within a couple of months. Thirty-six percent (36%) believe it will take three months or longer.[1] ([link removed])
