But here’s the thing, a lot of politicians and PACs are just making those goals up. Sure, they need the money to support candidates just like we do, but there isn’t a lot of transparency about why they’ve set those goals.
Well, we’re the Blue Dogs and a core part of our platform is no BS, so we don’t want to give you a bunch of bull about our goals. Here are the facts - we write a 5,000 dollar check to every single Blue Dog member of Congress and every single candidate we endorse.

$5,000 is the maximum amount of money we can give to our federal candidates, and it makes a world of difference for races in red states and districts that constantly get overlooked by the DC establishment.
We don’t go by “red to blue” lists or by what pundits say are the districts that we can win in, we go by carefully interviewing candidates, assessing their districts, and making investments in candidates that are actually talking about solving real problems for their neighbors.
That means we end up endorsing a lot of folks in overlooked races and in tough places for anyone with a “D” next to their name to win.
But, we know that these candidates are the best way to flip the House and take back the Speaker’s gavel. We also know in a rural area, $5000 is a BIG deal.
