I am and always will be a third-generation farmer from Big Sandy. I spend
16-hour days on the farm and come home covered in dirt from head to toe. I
drive an 18-wheeler to haul barley every harvest season.

My farm responsibilities can be tough to work around, but it’s
non-negotiable—it keeps me grounded, literally.

That matters in a town like Washington, where talk is cheap, and where too
many politicians spend their time playing games instead of getting things
done.
