Republicans have nominated dangerous extremists for offices at every level of government, including a QAnon conspiracy theorist for Superintendent of Public Instruction and a Holocaust-denier for Governor.

There is no world in which these candidates should be elected to the offices they are seeking. They are a direct threat to our state’s future.

John, instead of defunding our public schools, we should be giving them the resources to educate North Carolina’s next generation of leaders. Instead of restricting voting rights on the basis of extremist conspiracy theories, we should be protecting access to the ballot box. Instead of attacking reproductive rights, we should be ensuring that women can receive the health care they need.

And all over the state, there are strong Democratic leaders who are ready to keep up the fight.
