We’re just weeks away from Illinois’ congressional primary, so I wanted to reach out about why your continued support for Eric Sorensen -- the Democrat I endorsed as my successor -- is so important.
Once again, our district has been tabbed as ground zero in the fight over the House. With George Santos out of Congress, only four seats stand in between Democrats and the majority! IL-17 is one of the only seats Speaker Mike Johnson has named a “top target,” and it’s the only one in Illinois that dark money groups are going to spend millions in to flip.
We need to keep momentum on Eric’s side, friend. So I’m making an urgent request: will you contribute $10 to his campaign today? He needs an extra lift before this week’s end-of-month deadline.
What I appreciate most about Eric is that even though he’s made it to Washington, he's still that trusted, hometown weatherman running a people-powered campaign powered by individual donors and his neighbors.
I spent many election cycles defending this battleground seat, so I’m sympathetic to what Eric’s going through. And I know that after the primaries, it’s going to get even more difficult.
But I know from many tough battles that when we come together early, we can rise up against the millions that national Republicans pour into IL-17 every cycle.
