We're taking our own advice...
And asking for help when we need it. Right now, our helpline staff are supporting more people than ever - taking more calls and answering more webchats. In short, we’re busier than ever before. Literally. Here's how that looks in numbers:
- 37% increase in daily calls to CALM's helpline last week
- 50 suicides directly prevented by CALM each month, on average
- £8 How much it costs to fund one life-saving call to CALM
So for the first time ever we're writing to ask for direct donations. £8 is enough to fund one potentially life-saving call. Pennies or pounds, the price of a tea, or the cash you may have saved on commuting, whatever you can spare, help us to support as many people as possible through this challenging time.

We know staying inside can be a bit of a drag, so we've put together some ways to do what you love for CALM. From gaming and gigging to balcony running and retweeting, here’s some ideas.
